Santi Capote and Guille Mostaza are Ellos, the impolite band that appeared at the end of the last century -and that says a lot for their survival capacity. The duo from Madrid swings from electro-pop to the traditional definition of the genre, and year after year they have been defining their own style: bastard pop -this is, actually, the name of their last album, Pop Cabrón in Spanish. From their official debut in 2001, Ellos have created undeniable hits like “Diferentes” or “Campeón” and signed with two of the most important record labels in the country: Subterfuge and PIAS Spain. Their last album, the self-produced Pop Cabrón, is a look back into the roots of their sound, with clear influences from the 80’s.
