Jorge Pérez is Tórtel, a project that, with just 5 years of existence, has produced 3 albums and gained the unconditional praise of the critic. A core members of other cult bands such as Ciudadano or Maderita (with the emblematic musician Julio Bustamante, among others), Jorge López decided to start his career as Tórtel in 2009 and since then, he has progressively conquered the national music scene from his hometown, Valencia. His third record, `La Gran Prueba’, scraped into the top best albums of 2014 and has cemented him as one of the most respected pop makers of the country. Acclaimed almost unanimously by the critic, Tórtel is not a bright hope of the Spanish music anymore, but a safe bet -particularly if you watch him live.
