Micalet Landete is one of those unique human beings illustrating all the mythicizing and deification around musicians. His journey with Senior i El Cor Brutal bears this out. They debuted in 2009 with L’Experiència Gratificant, but it was two years later with Gran, when they entered the local and national scene. Their North American influences that marked their original folk sound gave way to a rock of a clear nineties legacy, El Poder del Voler. What have not changed are Landete’s talented lyrics, strongly rooted in his society, its people and its reality. From “València, eres una puta” (Valencia, you’re a bitch) to “Lluna de mandarina” (Tangerine Moon) or “Actes d’amor” (Deeds of love).
