Ash are survivors, and not only for outliving Britpop, something to be praised. Soon after entering the Britpop scene in 1996 and revitalizing it with the punk-rock influences from their first official album (1977), the Northern Irish had to face the threat of bankruptcy. They more than dealt with it, so much so that their album Free All Angels, entered the top of the British lists featuring some of their best songs ever (“Burn baby burn”, “Shining light”, “Candy”). Their outstanding discography, achieving two golden and one platinum records, will win new references in history with their show at MBCFest. Nostalgia and present on the same stage.
